Cover Supervisor (Science Cover) Location: Birmingham (B14) Start Date: September / New Academic Year Day Rate: £95 to £100

Elevate Supply is supporting a large secondary school in Birmingham with an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ in recruiting a Science Cover Supervisor. This supply position begins in September, working with mixed-ability KS3 and KS4 classes of up to 30 pupils. You'll be supervising Science lessons using pre-set work, maintaining focus and behaviour in a supportive and structured environment. This opportunity has arisen due to a career break in the Science department, and we’re onboarding throughout May.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supervise pre-planned Science lessons in the absence of the class teacher

• Ensure pupils remain on task and engaged with the work set

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Provide brief feedback to the teaching team after each lesson

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils preferred

• Confident managing classroom behaviour and keeping pupils on task

• Strong communication skills and ability to follow lesson plans

• Available to start in September for a supply role
