English Teacher – South Sheffield | Elevate Supply Elevate Supply is thrilled to be working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in South Sheffield to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school community ahead of the new academic year in September 2025, with onboarding starting from May half-term.

This full-time position is ideal for teachers looking to make a lasting impact in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. There is strong potential for the role to develop into a long-term or permanent position.

🟢 Pay Rate: £140 – £200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role:

As an English Teacher, you’ll be delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5, helping students develop their skills in reading, writing, and communication. You’ll be joining a high-performing English department renowned for its passion for literature and student success.

Your Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5

• Support and challenge learners of all abilities using inclusive teaching strategies

• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress and attainment

• Foster a classroom culture that promotes creativity, curiosity, and mutual respect

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum consistency and high standards

• Contribute to extra-curricular and literacy enrichment activities where possible

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English

• Experience teaching English up to KS5 (A-Level experience desirable)

• Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management skills

• A reflective, resilient, and communicative practitioner

• A commitment to inclusive, high-quality education for all students

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
