Lead Teacher for Literacy – Primary (Permanent Role) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Permanent Location: B44 Salary: MPR/UPS + TLR1
The position has become available due to a combination of internal progression and curriculum development priorities, with onboarding beginning immediately to ensure a smooth transition.
The school was rated Good by Ofsted in their most recent inspection and is known for its inclusive ethos, experienced leadership team, and strong community relationships. As Literacy Lead, you will shape and deliver the whole-school vision for reading and writing, with the time and autonomy to make a measurable impact.
You’ll lead on the implementation and monitoring of the literacy curriculum, support colleagues across the school, and drive the standards of reading, writing, and phonics from EYFS to Year 6.
Requirements:
QTS with several years of experience in the primary phase
Strong understanding of curriculum leadership and whole-school impact
Ability to monitor and raise standards in literacy teaching and outcomes
Willingness to support and develop colleagues through CPD and modelling
Commitment to inclusive teaching and adapting the curriculum to meet all needs
