We are working with a high-achieving secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a permanent English Teacher from September. The role involves teaching mixed-ability groups at KS3 and KS4, with a well-established English department that has seen consistent progress scores across the last three years. This opportunity has become available due to a staff resignation and offers long-term growth in a supportive environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Teach English Language and Literature to KS3 and KS4 students

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons

• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback

• Contribute to departmental planning, interventions, and enrichment activities

Candidate Requirements:

• QTS and experience teaching English in a UK secondary school

• Confident with curriculum planning and adapting for mixed-ability learners

• Strong classroom management and clear communication skills

• Passionate about student achievement and subject development
