Science Teacher KS3/4

Science Teacher Location: Birmingham (B8) Start Date: September / New Academic Year Day Rate: £150 – £200

We’re working with a large secondary school in Birmingham rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher for a supply role starting in September. You’ll be teaching mixed-ability groups across KS3 and KS4, with around 28 pupils per class. The school has a well-equipped science department and offers an ambitious and supportive environment focused on student progress and academic growth. This long-term position is available due to long-term sickness cover, and onboarding is taking place throughout May.

Role Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Use practical and theoretical teaching methods to build scientific understanding

• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed

• Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Candidate Requirements:

• QTS or equivalent, with experience teaching Science at secondary level

• Confident delivering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics content at KS3 and KS4

• Strong classroom management and commitment to high-quality teaching

• Available for a supply role starting in September
