Primary Teacher – Year 4 (Permanent Role) Start Date: September Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Highgate (B12) Salary: £35,000 per year (M6)
The school was rated Good in its latest inspection and is known for its stable staffing team, high expectations, and focus on pupil wellbeing. Early onboarding begins in May.
This Year 4 class of 29 pupils includes two EHCPs and receives targeted support from a full-time teaching assistant. The class has a clear routine in place and recently transitioned to using a mastery-based maths scheme with positive results.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering lessons in line with school curriculum
Preparing for and contributing to half-termly pupil progress reviews
Coordinating with intervention staff for additional pupil support
Maintaining contact with parents through termly meetings and updates
Requirements:
QTS with recent experience in Key Stage 1 or 2
Strong classroom management and assessment skills
Ability to adapt teaching for pupils with additional needs
A proactive and collaborative approach to school life
